Crème berry balsamic French toast

There are other ways to utilize your frozen fruits, and a blueberry yogurt French toast goes perfectly! This hot and cold, sweet and tangy, balsamic combo is just right for uplifting your mellow morning feels.

Feel razzle dazzle with this gluten free, protein rich, and energy boosting French toast feast for your morning fuel or dessert option.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of gluten free bread (or bread of choice)
  • 1 egg
  • 1tsp maple syrup
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1tsp of cinnamon
  • 4tbsp yogurt
  • 2 handful of frozen berries
  • 1tbsp of ghee butter or coconut oil
  • 1tbsp balsamic vinegar

How to make:

  • Crack the egg into a bowl and whisk
  • add the vanilla extract, maple syrup, and half the tsp of cinnamon
  • add and soak each slice of bread on each side into the egg mix until the bread has absorbed the mixture on both sides
  • begin to heat the oil or butter on medium heat in a frying pan, add your bread and cook for a few minutes on each side until lovely and golden
  • once both slices are cooked, serve up with divided frozen berries, yogurt and a dash of balsamic vinegar, and the rest of the cinnamon
