Bounce back, glow up, and look your best with the glow green beautify smoothie!

This beautifying smoothie is self-explanatory you just have to make it and watch yourself glow up, though, if you’ve had a rough few months, The Wellbeing Agent recommends you try the detoxifying smoothie first to get the most out of your glow-up!

Ingredients:

  • 300ml licorice blend brewed tea (refrigerate till cold)
  • 2 tablespoons 0% fat (high protein) yogurt or protein powder of choice
  • 1 scoop of collagen peptide powder
  • 1 tablespoon of spirulina or super greens blend powder
  • 1 handful of frozen strawberries and bananas
  • 50g cucumber
  • 1 half avocado
  • 10g peeled and finely diced ginger
  • a half squeeze of lemon
  • 1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

Directions:

  • Place all ingredients into a blender/ smoothie blender of your choice and blend until smooth…Enjoy!

Additional Tip:

Another great tip or addition would be to half or in total swap the licorice tea blend for carrot juice, carrot juice is rich in beta carotene and is rich in vitamin A.

Vitamin A acts as a natural retinol that promotes cell turnover meaning you’ll be glowing in no time! If you have a juicer this s easy though if not we’ve got you covered below! Simple blend 10 whole peeled and diced carrots with half a cup of water, once blended to a pulp-like consistency filter the carrot juice through a fine sieve or muslin/nut bag to retrieve the carrot juice, now add to your smoothie, blend all ingredients and enjoy even more glow points!

BENEFITS

Cell turnover

The benefits of the glow green beautify smoothie is the concentration of natural forms of retinol (vitamin A) and vitamin C vitamins. These vitamins help promote cell turnover, to unmask the skin’s natural glow over time. In this recipe, vitamin A is taken from all the super greens, though, if you opt to include the carrot juice you are able to benefit further from the effects of cell turnover. Vitamin C is taken from the lemon, which promotes the appearance of brighter and plumper skin.

Collagen boosting

Benefit from a boost in collagen. Collagen helps to reduce and soften the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, it improves skin elasticity, as well as, bodily functions such as the strength and growth of your hair and nails.

Antioxidant

Licorice tea and cucumber, both contain high levels of antioxidants which will help the skin repair faster and protect it from free radicals that oxidize and makes the skin age faster.

Blood circulation & energy regulation

Coconut oil has been praised by the fitness community due to it having the best MCT profile, in this smoothie MCT is beneficial because it helps the circulation of healthy blood flow which boosts oxygen to the surface of the skin, allowing for healthy, supple skin. MCT is also great for weight loss and improving your energy expenditure, along with the added benefits from protein you’re able to feel more resilient throughout the day!
